Blasting systems for plates are used for dust-free blasting of flat workpieces. At the heart of these systems are Problast® closed-circuit blasting systems, whose recovery blast gun is moved over the workpiece with the help of a gantry. We offer various solutions depending on the type of workpiece:

I. Gantry blasting systems for steel plates
The complete closed-circuit blasting system is mounted on a gantry. The blasting of the sheets is used to prepare the weld seams before welding the shipbuilding profiles.
II. Gantry blasting systems for press plates
Here too, the recovery blast gun of a Problast® closed-circuit blasting system is moved with the aid of a gantry. Blasting with glass beads is used to achieve a defined degree of gloss (gloss adjustment) before the subsequent hard chrome plating of the press plates.
During matt blasting, pressed sheets are blasted for several hours without interruption. Due to the low material thickness, simultaneous blasting from above and below is necessary to avoid workpiece deformation.
